Devonshire Mall will have a new winter wonderland.
After going through an extensive RFP process, the mall has announced it purchased new Christmas decorations including a new home for Santa.
The shopping centre spent $70-million renovating the mall in recent years which includes the food court and relocation of some stores.
Mall General Manager Chris Savard says, with the redevelopment of the entire shopping centre, this is the right time to introduce the new Christmas decor package.
"We're still in the process of setting up and the amount of people who are stopping and taking family photos has been really, really impressive," he says. "We think it's going to be a great welcoming for Santa here on Sunday."

Savard says feedback has already been positive.
"The Christmas season is often about retail but in many ways the mall is a community gathering place and it's a place for families to come together," he says. "Already we're seeing a huge reaction both from families in terms of what the display means and how beautiful it is."
Santa arrives at the mall by helicopter at 11am, on Sunday, November 18 in the parking lot near Howard Ave.
The new winter wonderful will be located in front of Hudson's Bay.
