A Windsor man who turned 100 years old last Saturday isn't letting his age stop him as he picked up his brand new vehicle Monday.
Earl Wilson is a Ford retiree, working at the company for 35 years as a crane operator.
"I'm excited," he laughs.
Monday morning, surrounded with some of his daughters, 100 grandchildren and great grandchildren, Wilson picked up his new red 2019 Ford Escape at Performance Ford Windsor on Provincial Rd.
Despite his age, he is very independent, still lives on his own and even drives to Chatham every once in a while.
Every two years, he has to be tested for driving and every year, he passes.

Wilson says he's a good driver, with a lot of experience.
"I'm a top driver...because you have to get tested every one in a while and I keep passing," he says.
His oldest daughter Vernetta Riley says the family is blessed to have such an independent and healthy father.
"We try to keep track of him as much as we can, but it's hard because he likes to get out and go."
He credits his faith for living such a long and happy life.
Owner Terry Rafih even promised Wilson a nice surprise in ten years.
"At 110, I will say this in front of everyone, we will deliver a brand new vehicle to Mr. Wilson, a new Ford Escape, maybe a Mustang."
Wilson is the oldest Ford customer at Performance Ford Windsor.
