Sandwich Town has a new addition thanks to the Windsor Port Authority.
An 8,000 pound anchor will now be on display next to the port authority office at 3190 Sandwich St.
According to the authority, the seven-foot-tall anchor was manufactured in Cleveland, Ohio by the Upson-Walton Company likely in the early 1900's.
The massive piece of steel was salvaged from a decommissioned Great Lakes freighter that was known to stop in Windsor.
