A massive turnout at the WFCU Centre for the first ever "Solidarity Night."
To celebrate Family Day, several local unions and businesses bought every ticket to Monday night's Windsor Express game giving families a chance to attend free of charge.
Unifor Local 2458 president Tullio DiPonti says more than 4,000 people packed the stands.
He says it was great to see the community come together.
"That was our goal, to make sure that we got as many people as we could into the arena just to show the comradery and what Windsor is all about. Windsor is about family and Windsor is about getting together and the unions want to be part of it. We've always been part of it."
DiPonti says supporting a hometown team is what the unions are all about.
"They came to us and they were looking for some support and they wanted to make sure that we were there for them and we came to the pump. We wanted to help them out. It's our home team. To tell you the truth, this is my first basketball game and I'm having a blast."

He says they're hoping to host the same event again next year.
"It's a great night. We wanted to make sure that we participated. It's Family Day and you can see there's a lot of kids in the crowd. We see our membership really enjoys it and really loves it. Every ticket that we had that was given to us, it was well used."
The Express lost a nail-biter in front of the hometown crowd falling to the Sudbury Five 116-114.
Quinnel Brown was named player of the game for Windsor putting up 23 points while pulling down eight rebounds.
