It's a big night for the sports community as nine people and two teams will be inducted into the Windsor-Essex County Sports Hall of Fame.
The 2019 induction class includes five athletes -- baseball player Pat Dumouchelle, bowler Dan MacLelland, Paralympian Virginia McLaughlin, golfer Richard Scott and former NHL player and Windsor Spitfire Kyle Wellwood.
There are also four builders being inducted -- Eddi Chittaro, Linda Micelli, Mike Morencie and Mary Ann Pinsonneault.
Morencie -- a former football coach for the University of Windsor Lancers and AKO Fratman -- tells CTV Windsor he is honoured to be join the 235 current inductees.
"Coached a couple thousand kids in baseball and football over the years so if I'm worthy of Hall of Fame induction it's because of those great kids and great people I've had the tremendous fortune to work with," says Morencie.
