Hotel-Dieu Grace Healthcare is looking to not only improve patient care, but to improve its brand.
It has launched a new logo along with a public education component to inform the public about the programs and services it offers.
"We are going to be far less hung up on the geography of it, and the municipal address," says Hospital Vice President Bill Marra. "We are going to focus more on educating the community around the programs and services. How we can support patients and their loved ones."
Hospital realignment took place five years ago this coming October. Windsor Regional Hospital took over acute care at the Ouellette and Met Campus.
Hotel-Dieu Grace Healthcare provides mental health and rehab services including outpatient services and satellite locations.
"An important part of what we do is also outpatient services, so it is not just the beds component, it is just not the 259 beds on campus. We see tens of thousands of people per month on an outpatient basis."
The rebranding comes with a new logo which is a cross in a hexagon in purple and tan colour.
"We can't change our history, our founders and our heritage, it is what it is," he says. "We are a faith based organization, established by the religious hospitallers of St. Joseph, we had an alliance with the Salvation Army and Grace Hospital."
The hospital was established 130 years ago.
