A pair of home-renovation TV stars with local ties hit Devonshire Mall in Windsor to promote their new book Live Happy Saturday.
Kortney and Dave Wilson star in Masters of Flip on HGTV Canada — tackling fixer-uppers in Nashville Tennessee. The TV renovation stars kicked-off their book tour at Indigo where hundreds of people gathered to meet the husband and wife team.
The tour sees Windsor-native Kortney return to her roots and the fans were lining up.
"What a treat to start this book tour off in the place that I was born where all my family lives," says Kortney.

The couple tell CTV Windsor a hit renovation show was never part of the plan when the two met in the country music capital 21 years ago pursuing careers in music.
"You know we moved there for music. We had record deals, we lost record deals, we had publishing deals, and we lost publishing deals. That's just the music industry for." she says, "We started house flipping as a means of survival for our family, we had just had our first child."
Dave says they came to realize they, "never had a plan. Everything's been accidental and any plan we did have was not this."
Switching guitars for hammers became a new creative outlet and a new career for the couple.
"That led to enjoying this creative process much like song writing. Flipping a house, making it pretty, and then passing your baby along just like a song for the buyer to love or the world to hear," says Kortney.
For those looking to follow in the couple's footsteps, Kortney says keep those first projects small and find someone who's doing things right to learn the ropes.
