A flood watch has been issued by the Essex Region Conservation Authority.
It says due to forecasted winds out of the south, plus high lake levels, a possibility of flooding exists for the Lake Erie shoreline including Pelee Island.
With the ground already wet from recent rain, waves could cause further damage in low lying areas.
There is also the potential for strong water surge along the Lake Erie shoreline and the potential for near shore erosion.
The advisory is in effect until Wednesday, November 7 at 5pm.
