The Windsor Essex County Health Unit is focusing on public education when it comes to the pending legalization of marijuana.
Manager of Chronic Disease and Injury Prevention, Eric Nadalin says the health unit has created a campaign to answer people's questions.
He says the goal is to debunk some of the myths.
"Just address some of the questions that people have ahead of legalization on what are the health effects of cannabis, what are some of the regulations looking like, what are safer ways to consume cannabis and when should you never, ever consider using cannabis" says Nadalin.
He says there are definitely people who should not be using cannabis.
"Anyone under the age of 25 or anyone with a history of mental illness, as well as pregnant or breastfeeding mothers should never consume cannabis in any form," says Nadalin.
Marijuana becomes legal October 17.
