Expect bigger shells and higher fireworks for the 61st Ford Fireworks.
After seven days of physical set-up on three barges on the Detroit River, 10,000 pyrotechnics are set to go off at 9:55pm Monday.
Officials say the weather should not delay the 24 minute show.
Choreographer Patrick Brault says people should expect a big show.
"I try to put in what people like," he says. "I try to bring them back and there hasn't been that many new fireworks, so I try to do better colour combinations and make sure that everything looks emotional."
It takes a crew of 10 people, 7 days working 9 to 10 hours a day on three barges for the show, along with 70 hours to design it.
Brault wants people to 'feel it.'
"There is going to be a lot of big bangs throughout the whole show but at the end, I try to recreate an earthquake."
