Damage is estimated at $200,000 after an early morning basement fire in Windsor.
Windsor fire was called to the scene in the 2700 block of Meadowbrook Lane, south of Hawthorne Dr., just before 5:00am.
Within 15 minutes, crews reported the fire as out.

An investigator says the fire was caused by a cord failure in a bedroom.
$60,000 in damage is reported to the basement unit where the fire originated and $140,000 to the two units above, as well as the hallways.
