The Conservatives now officially have a candidate in the riding of Windsor West for the upcoming federal election.
Henry Lau has earned the nomination for the riding.
The 53-year-old, retired tool and die shop owner was originally selected during a vote in early June, but fellow candidate Rinku Shah filed an appeal over members not being allowed to vote because they did not have proper identification.
A review was launched by the Conservative Party's national council, which has now ruled there were no issues with the voting process.
Lau says he's the right person to lead the riding, saying he will fight for Windsor West.
"I can be in a good position to help and to be the fighter, fighting for the best interest for the Windsor West, for the future of the Windsor West," he says.
