Windsor Police Service have charged a man in connection with a New Year's Day stabbing downtown.
It happened on Tuesday just after midnight infront of an establisment on Ouellette Ave. near Maiden Ln.
Police say a man who had been stabbed was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Officers arrested 20-year-old suspect at a business on Huron Church Rd. later Tuesday morning.
Branden McCraney of Windsor faces charges, including aggravated assault and a weapons charge.
Police say a weapon has not been recovered.
Anyone with information is asked to call Windsor police or Crime Stoppers.
