It's time to highlight the worst roads in Windsor and Essex County.
CAA has kicked off its 16th annual 'worst roads campaign'.
The Canadian Automobile Association wants people to vote in the annual campaign to help drivers, cyclists and pedestrians improve Ontario roads.
Nominations can be cast at www.caaworstroads.com until April 26th.
Once voting closes, CAA will compile a list of the worst roads in Ontario, along with the worst roads in the region.
A study by CAA found 71% of Ontarians are concerned with road conditions, while 60% don't believe that roads are repaired in a timely manner.
During the 2018 campaign, Seminole St, Huron Church and Tecumseh Road East were in the top five for the South West Region.
CAA Government Relations Specialist Raymond Chan says the campaign is open to everyone, including pedestrians and cyclists.
"A lot of people think of our campaign as potholes and crumbling pavement which it is largely, those seem to be the issues that we have living in a climate that has a lot of freeze and thaw cycles, but we are trying to seek the perspective of other road users as well," says Chan.
He says issues can include other road challenges such as bad or confusing road signs.
Having visited Windsor in 2018 and again a few days ago, Chan has noticed a huge improvement on Ouellette Ave in the downtown.
"I was in Windsor a couple of days ago and drove down the same stretch of street and by God, it is night and day from what it was last year."
Last year, 3,500 roads across the province were nominated.
