Brentwood Recovery Home has made it official.
The home at Dougall Ave. has opened four onsite transitional housing units for recent graduates of the program.
Board Chair Cheryl Chaney says planning started six month ago for the units.
She says each unit was renovated at a cost of about $10,000.
Chaney says it's not always easy for recent graduates to transition back into society.
"A lot of us have the difficulty because we might have a bad background, we might have a terrible credit history," says Chaney. "We can't get into a place and a lot of our people will turn back to drugs or alcohol at that point. So in the transitional housing they're safe here, they're taking steps for themselves, they're getting a job, they're finding a place to live."
