A recount has wrapped up for the Deputy Mayor's seat in Amherstburg.
It was agreed to by council after Leo Meloche beat Diane Pouget by just four votes in October's municipal election.
Wednesday's recount has unveiled the exact same result.
Meloche had 2,579 votes and Pouget had 2,575.
Clerk Paula Parker says there were 83 spoiled ballots on election night.
She tells CTV Windsor the results are not official yet.
“Any candidate has an opportunity to appeal to Superior Court 15 days after today’s recount date,” says Parker.
Pouget did say last week that she would accept the results of the recount.
Mayor Aldo DiCarlo expects the recount will cost tax payers around $25,000.
The new council members will be sworn into office on Dec. 3.
