Rail travel will ramp up between Windsor and Toronto in September.
Two additional trains are being added due to increased demand for intercity travel, according to VIA Rail.
The company cut service drastically at the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic.
With the majority of the province in Stage 3 of the province’s recovery plan, the company will bring its service level back up to 50 per cent by Sept. 1.
According to the release, the increase in service will still allow staff to maintain a safe environment for themselves and passengers.
