There is now a timeline when Windsor's Veterans Affairs office will reopen.
A spokesperson with Veterans Affairs Canada says the office will open its doors in late April, but a specific date has not been confirmed.
In August 2016, Veterans Affairs Minister Kent Hehr announced it would reopen the office at 1 Riverside Drive West on the 6th floor.
It will be staffed by 17 people to provide support services for about 2800 veterans locally.
The former office on University Ave West closed in 2014 forcing local veterans to head to London for help.
