A veteran on Windsor City Council is running again.
Ward 6 Councillor Jo-Anne Gignac confirms to AM800 News that she submitted her nomination papers Thursday to run for the ward 6 council seat in the upcoming municipal election.
'There are a number of things that require my attention and I want to carry through with them," says Gignac who has been on council for four terms.
She points out her focus has always been on fiscal responsibility.
Moving forward, she wants to see progression with the eight-point plan to prevent further basement flooding.
Ward 6 was hit hard with the 2016 and 2017 storms.
She also wants to see the opening of the Miracle Diamond.
Also running in Ward 6 is Josh Jacquot.
