Windsor police are flushing out crime after arresting a suspect in a restaurant washroom who was wanted for a vehicle break-in.
Police were called to the restaurant on Wyandotte St. East and Goyeau St. Monday night for an unrelated matter, when they were approached by a man who said his vehicle had been broken into and the suspect was in the washroom.
The vehicle owner had parked nearby and was paying for merchandise when he learned his vehicle had been broken into.
He got a description of the suspect and was told the suspect had fled toward the restaurant where police arrested the suspect.
The vehicle had been left unlocked.
A 50-year-old Windsor man is charged with theft and possession of stolen property.
