A group of University of Windsor Students are giving back to the community.
The Behaviour, Cognition and Neuroscience student group has wrapped up their annual fundraising gala.
The is the sixth time the gala has been held, with proceeds being donated to a new charity every year.
Vice President of Internal Affairs, Ahsan Muhammad, says the gala gains popularity every year.
He says this years charity is a unique one.
"The point of these galas that we host every year is to raise money for a local charity group and this year we are doing the Miracle League of Amherstburg."
The Miracle League of Amherstburg gives children with disabilities a chance to play baseball.
Muhammad says donating to the Miracle League was an easy choice.
"It is a group run organization that raise money for autistic kids and kids who have disabilities who want to play baseball. We are hoping to raise money as much as we can through multiple different fundraisers and events to give back to the community."
The group is hoping to raise more than $8,000.
A final tally is expected later this week.
