A road reconstruction project worth just under $1.7 million is on the agenda Monday night in Kingsville.
Kingsville council will be asked to award the tender for the Park Street upgrades to Sherway Contracting.
The project was originally set to go in 2009 but due to competing priorities and budget limitations, it was deferred for a number of years.
Councillor Thomas Neufeld says the upgrades will happen on Park Street from Dock Road to Division Road South.
"There are some water main issues that are going to be fixed, curb, gutter and sidewalk," says Neufeld. "We're also going to put in a multi-use path that's going to connect our Lakeside Park with a new Mettawas Park development."
The town received a grant from the province worth $937,000 for the project.
If approved work is scheduled to begin immediately.
