Upgrades will soon begin at Windsor's historic Willistead Manor.
The 111-year old home, along with the coach and gate houses, will be getting a facelift starting this month.
As part of the city's 2016 and 2017 capital budgets, $750,000 was earmarked in each year to complete the restorations.
Work includes window and roof repairs as well as stucco, wood and masonry work.
As well, the federal government also committed up to $450,000 through its Canada 150 grant program for the project.
There will be some scaffolding and some areas will be cordoned off along with fewer parking spaces during construction.
