Unifor 2458 says it has made no such deal with the Windsor Essex Catholic District School Board when it comes to pickets.

Around 3:00pm on Monday, the Catholic board sent out a public notification saying "it has received notification from the union that it will allow five cars to cross the picket lines every 10 minutes and will not be holding cars until 8:00am."

Unifor 2458 President, Bruce Dickie says this is not true and workers are exercising their legal right to picket and exchange information.

"We have met with all four police departments that are involved in the jurisdictions that our schools are in and we have not had any contact whatsoever with the school board regarding this," says Dickie.

"Nothing surprises me coming out of this board. Clearly everything form how the bargainig went right through they have not been truthful with the public from the beginning," Dickie adds.

When it comes to negotiations, the board's legal counsel says it has been in contact with the provincial mediator, but at this point there are no immediate plans to return to the bargaining table.

The board also says it has yet to receive a counter proposal to an offer that was tabled October 7th, which Dickie also says is also not true.
