A settlement has been reached between the City of Windsor and the Windsor woman whose home near the airport is being expropriated.
Rose Tako was suppose to leave her property by today.
Tako was battling the city because she claimed the city's offer for her 1.2 acre property wasn't enough.
The city argued the appraisal was done and Tako was given fair market value.
Tako's lawyer Ondrej Sabo tells AM800 news via email that Tako is happy with the result and it has been a long and very stressful process.
The terms of the settlement are being kept confidential between the parties.
There are no immediate plans for the development of the property but there are a number of applications before the planning department that deal with the land
As AM800 news told you in September, Tako is taking the city and Windsor Mayor Drew Dilkens to court and is suing for $5.25-million.
