Police have a man in custody after a carjacking in Windsor, but they're still looking for the vehicle.
Windsor Police Service was called to the Ouellette Campus of Windsor Regional Hospital around 3pm Sunday for a reported carjacking.
Patrol officers arrived to find a 50-year-old Windsor woman had been physically forced from her vehicle while waiting to pick up her elderly father.
The man fled the scene but officers located him a short time later on foot near the intersection of Walker Rd. and Melinda St.
Investigators say a 30-year-old man was taken into custody without incident.
Corey Fostey of Belle River is charged with robbery and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.
Police are still searching for the woman's burgundy-red 2012 Ford Fusion with the licence plate 4V9 523.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Windsor police or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
