A young man is in hospital with life-threatening injuries after a bizarre incident in east Windsor.
Windsor Police Services were called to a housing complex off Hawthorn Dr. near Lauzon Pkwy. around 3pm Saturday. Officers arrived to find a vehicle had left the roadway and crashed through a fence into a building, hitting a young man in the process.
A neighbour who preferred not to be named tells AM800 News a red SUV jumped the curb and drove through the courtyard at a high rate of speed before striking a young man, pinning him under the vehicle.

The witness tells AM800 News a woman emerged from the vehicle and began sobbing as neighbours rushed out to see what was going on, police arrived just minutes after it happened.
Major Crimes would not confirm whether the woman and the young man are known to each other, but the witness says the woman indicated she knew the victim shortly after getting out of the vehicle.
Investigators say the driver is in custody and charges are pending.
