Police are asking for the public's help locating two suspects believed to be involved in an early morning stabbing near the University of Windsor — the second stabbing in the city in less than 48 hours.
Windsor Police Service responded to a reported stabbing near Wyandotte St. W. at Sunset Ave. around 3am Saturday morning. The scene is on the south-side of campus near several dorms and within a block of the campus police station.
Major Crimes tells AM800 News patrol officers arrived to find a 46-year-old cab driver was stabbed in the abdomen after a fare dispute — his attackers fled on foot.
Investigators say the cab driver was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and is expected to recover.
Police are looking for a white-man in his early '20s, around 6' with a slim build and short brown hair.
The woman is described as white, in her early '20s, around 5' with a thin build and blonde hair.
Anyone with information is asked to call Windsor police or Crime Stoppers.
