The group behind gruesome anti-abortion postcards that were delivered to Windsor households is asking people to direct their anger at the issue, not at the pictures.
5,000 Windsor households received an envelop saying "WARNING. Content not suitable for children."
Inside were photos of aborted fetuses in various stages.
The group "Show the truth" hand-delivered the postcards in Windsor yesterday.
"A picture of a child that has been torn limb from limb is going to be horrifying but we should direct our anger to the act itself instead of the pictures of it," says group spokesperson Isaac Longworth.
12 people delivered the postcards in Windsor.
Mark McKenzie was one of the residents who received the postcard. "I opened it up and threw it down, I didn't know what it was, I was shocked when I saw the graphic images. My wife picked it up and was very very upset."
McKenzie admits he read a bit of the material but the images just stood out.
He believes there are better ways to get messages across as opposed to putting that type of material in mailboxes.
Longworth says there are 300 abortions performed every day in Canada.
