Charges are pending after two separate collisions on the 401 today.
The first happened around 11:50am on the 401 westbound near Victoria Rd. when the driver of a tractor trailer lost control in a construction zone and ended up in the ditch.
About an hour later, a second crash happened when a tractor trailer rear ended a car at the end of traffic back up due to the first crash.
The 401 has since reopened.
