Strike over at Jamieson Laboratories in Windsor.
The 200 workers voted 79% in favour of a new tentative agreement after rejecting the first agreement reached last week.
The new 3-year deal include a $0.50 an hour wage increase in each year of the contract, along with a $1,000 signing bonus.
The deal that was rejected on Sunday, prompting the strike, did not include a wage increase in the first year.
"We clearly got a message from the membership from last time on the vote on Sunday that it was rejected because there wasn't a wage increase in the first year of the agreement," says Unifor Local 195 President Gerry Farnham.
Talks resumed yesterday after the employer asked the union about setting up a protocol to allow trucks to get into the plant.
Instead the union asked the company to return to the table and Jamieson agreed.
"The position was that we were going to stand strong as the membership did and I said to the employer why are we talking about a protocol instead of lets get back to the table and bargain a collective agreement and the employer, with all fairness to them, returned to the table last night."
Workers return to work at midnight.
The deal also includes the possibility of a fourth year depending on work with G.N.C.
