Windsor police have issued a description of a suspect from a shooting in central Windsor.
Shortly after 9:30 pm officers were dispatched to Ouellette Avenue near Hanna Street on a report of shots fired.
A short time later a man with a gunshot wound arrived at Windsor Regional Hospital.
Police went to the hospital and spoke with the 22-year-old victim.
The vehicle the victim used to ge to the hospital was seized.
After further investigation police believe the male suspect entered the occupied vehicle that was parked at the rear of 1666 Ouellette Avenue.
Before leaving a firearm was discharged into the vehicle.
The suspect fled on foot toward Dufferin Street.
Deputy Chief Brad Hill says the suspect remains at large and they haven't recovered a weapon at this point.
Major Crimes is investigating the shooting.
The suspect is described as:
- male black
- approximately 20-25 years of age
- long black hair pulled back and put in a bun
- wearing a black jacket over a black hoodie and jeans
