Windsor police are investigating a homicide after the body of a man was found in the area of University Avenue East and City Hall Square East on Tuesday.
According to police, a two-vehicle crash that also involved two parked cars in the 900 block of Josephine Avenue sparked a fight around 8:20 p.m. and the group later dispersed.
About an hour later, officers were called to the 400 block of McDougall Street for a call police believed to be related to the earlier crash.
While officers were en route to the area, it was reported that a fight broke out and a man had been stabbed — that man was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
During the investigation, officers found a second adult male who was deceased in the 400 block of City Hall Square East. Police say the man had obvious signs of injuries.
Anyone who may have witnessed any altercations or suspicious behaviour in the area of the collision, stabbing or homicide scene, are asked to contact police.
