One person is in the hospital with life-threatening injuries following an early morning shooting in Windsor.
Police tape surrounds a home at 1209 Henry Ford Centre Drive, just off Richmond, where a man was taken to the hospital with life threatening injuries with suspected gunshot wounds around 3:15am.
Investigators believe it may have been a targeted incident.
Initial reports indicate a suspect entered the home, dressed all in black and wearing a ski mask. The suspect was armed with what is believed to be a handgun and it was fired a number of times, striking the victim.
The suspect then fled on foot.
Chantal Hamelin lives right across the street with her two children and is not happy this happened so close.
"Not comfortable," she says. "It is scary because I have my children and never been around anything to do with guns or anything like that so it is really scary."
She says she has lived in Windsor for 10 years and never came across anything like this before.
Rob Drouillard lives a couple doors down from the shooting and knows the victim.
"He has had his house broken into a couple of times," he says. "I believe I told the officer one time but I think it was a couple of times he had his house broken into but he has cameras so hopefully they can get something off his cameras, hopefully.
Police tape also surrounds an alley behind the home.
