Police in Amherstburg have made an arrest after a pharmacy robbery.
As heard first on AM800 news earlier this month, a break and enter was reported at Home Health Pharmacy on Sandwich St S. on January 9th.
Police say a male suspect gained entry by smashing the door and took a number of items including quantity of prescription medication.
Members of the Amherstburg Detachment Criminal Investigations Branch determined the suspect was also involved in an unrelated theft a couple days earlier at a business in the 400 block of Sandwich St S.
The suspect was identified with the help from the Windsor Police Service Property Crimes Unit.
37-year-old William Johnson of Windsor was arrested without incident in the 2800 block of Howard Ave. on January 17th.
He is charged with break and enter, 49 counts of possession of suspected illicit drugs for the purpose of trafficking and theft under $5000.
