Crews arrived around 3pm to find heavy smoke coming from the basement of a home in the 3100 Block of Elmwood Cres.
The dark smoke quickly developed into a fully involved house fire that took crews nearly an hour to get under control.
Windsor fire's John Lee says an investigator is heading to the scene to determine the cause and provide a damage estimate.
