Two people are injured from a serious crash on Highway 3 Wednesday morning.
The most seriously hurt is in critical condition in the intensive Care Unit of the Ouellette Campus of Windsor Regional Hospital.
Provincial Police were called to the area of Division Road just after 8 a.m. to a two vehicle crash with no injuries.
Moments later a far more serious five vehicle crash happened about half a kilometre further west.
A black, two door Chevy Cobalt is virtually destroyed in the centre of the highway.
It has no front or back end, and sits in a pile of foam to prevent any fire.
There is also a large cargo truck and a pickup truck in the north ditch and two other vehicle on the opposite side of the road with minor damage.

"Happened minutes after the other collision and of those five vehicles there were a total of five occupants, five drivers only no passengers. Of the occupants we have one person that's been taken to an area hospital with serious injuries and another with minor injuries"
Constable Root says drivers need to drive according to conditions.
"Highway 3 no different than any other roadway, here or anywhere else. Motorists need to adapt their driving habits to the road that they're travelling on and the speed limit of that road, the weather conditions and the amount of traffic in that given area"

Root says there were reports of fog in the area this morning, but it hasn't been determined if that's a factor.
The highway was closed for a number of hours but has since re-opened.
