Chicago quarterback could miss matchup against Lions at Ford Field

Chicago Bears quarterback Mitchell Trubisky is now listed as "doubtful" with a right shoulder injury and could miss Thursday's NFL game against the Detroit Lions.

Trubisky was injured Sunday night against Minnesota when he was hit by Vikings safety Harrison Smith.

Trubisky's backup Chase Daniel hasn't thrown a regular-season pass since 2016.

Meantime, the Lions report running back Kerryon Johnson and wide receiver Marvin Jones are out.

Defensive end Ziggy Ansa, tight end Michael Roberts, defensive tackle A'Shawn Robinson and corner Darius Slay were among players who were limited in practice.

The Lions have signed free agent safety Don Carey.  Carey appeared in 84 games during seven seasons with Detroit from 2011-17.

To make room on the roster, the Lions waived defensive end Eric Lee.
