***orinial story follows***
A tornado watch has been issued by Environment Canada for Windsor-Leamington-Essex County.
The weather agency reports severe thunderstorms capable of producing tornadoes are developing west of Windsor and moving north.
Stateside, the National Weather Service has issued a tornado warning for Wayne County, advising severe thunderstorms could develop near Dearborn and Lincoln Park. A tornado warning for north central Monroe County, just west across the river from Amherstburg, appears to have been replaced with a flash flood warning as heavy rains could move into the region.

The weather agency called the storm "a dangerous and potentially life-threatening situation" — advising residents take immediate cover if threatening weather approaches.
The region has seen a number of funnel cloud sightings reported since yesterday.
