Two people have been charged after a stolen van was found flipped over in an alley in downtown Windsor.
The white Dodge Caravan had been stolen from a home on Bloomfield Rd Thursday around 3:30pm and was later spotted on McDougall Ave.
Police activated their emergency lights, but the van driver drove off in a dangerous manner.
Around 7:30pm, a citizen flagged down police about a single vehicle crash in the alley between Victoria Ave. and Dougall Ave.
The van had collided with a garage, struck a hydro pole and a fence and flipped upside down.
The van caught on fire and was quickly extinguished.
The occupants fled on foot but two of them were later arrested.

A 23-year old Belle River woman and 21-year-old Windsor woman are facing charges of possession of stolen property.
Police have also identified two other men including the driver.
Police continue to investigate.
