Windsor police were called to the 500 block of Caron Ave. Saturday night
Police have confirmed they are investigating a suspected arson in downtown Windsor.
It allegedly happened on Caron Ave. near Wyandotte St. W. around 4:30pm Saturday afternoon.
Neighbours who did not want to be named say a man was treated by Essex-Windsor Emergency Medical Services and arrested.
The pair also tells AM800 News the home sustained fire damage to the interior.
What appears to be a burned blanket or towel remained on the lawn of the property.
Windsor Police Service's Major Crimes Branch will only confirm a man is in custody and the investigation is in its early stages.
Witnesses say the man was behaving erratically and may have been having mental health issues at the time of the incident, but that also has yet to be confirmed by police.
