Five people are in hospital after a crash in Leamington on Saturday.
OPP report two adults and three children were sent to hospital with varying degrees of injury after the crash — some of those injuries considered life-threatening.
Police along with Leamington firefighters and Essex-Windsor EMS responded to the crash between a van and a Freightliner truck at about 12pm a the intersection of County Roads 34 and 37, just east of the town proper.
The people sent to hospital had been in the van.
County Rd. 34 (Talbot Rd. E) was closed for nearly eight hours while police investigated from County Rd. 37 (Mersea Rd. 19) to Mersea Rd. 15.
OPP tell AM800 News it's too early in the investigation to determine if charges will be laid as a result of the crash.
