One man is dead and two people were injured after a two vehicle crash.
It happened around 8pm Tuesday on Walker Road at Grand Marais Road East.
According to Windsor police, the driver of one of the vehicles was found unconscious and was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries and later died, while the driver and passenger of the other vehicle were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Sergeant Steve Betteridge says investigators are trying to figure out what happened.
"When we do an accident reconstruction, it is a very methodical process," he says. "There are a lot of measurements involved to determine things of that nature, speed, braking involving, anything along those lines."
Betteridge says this is not the way to start 2019.
"It serves as a reminder for everyone of the importance of driving safely and the dangers when you are operating a motor vehicle and what you have to be aware of."
Investigators had the intersection closed for about six-and-a-half hours.
Police have not released the name of the victim.
