It's being called a 'winter cocktail' for Windsor-Essex.
Environment Canada is forecasting anywhere from 7 to 12 cm of snow over the next 24 hours along with the risk of freezing rain as the temperature warms from -1C to 5C by Tuesday.
The forecast also calls for a very gusty south wind hitting up to 50 km/h this evening and possibly up to 70 km/h during the day on Tuesday.
Environment Canada Meteorologist Gerald Cheng says "the snow will change to a risk of freezing rain by tomorrow morning. Just keep in mind that the freezing rain, it's only a risk right now. We're not very certain it will last very long and it might not even happen. That's why it's only a risk and no warnings yet."
