Windsor-Essex is in for wet and windy conditions.
As 9am, the region ad received between 30 - 36mm of rain with another 20 - 25mm in the forecast for today.
"We expect the rain to continue today and this evening, giving us a total of 50 - 60mm of precipitation by the time it tapers off," says Peter Kimbell, warning preparedness meteorologist with Environment Canada.
Kimbell says Windsor is getting off easy with this system.
"Windsor is on the western edge of this system. You can see on radar the western edge of the precipitation basically cross southern Lake Huron and into southern Michigan."
Kimbell adds the temperatures will also be below normal with highs of 14C in the next couple of days. Normal highs at this time of the year is 19C.
The Essex Region Conservation Authority has cancelled its Flood Warning while a Flood Watch remains in place.
An Environment Canada rainfall warning had been in place for much of the day for Windsor-Essex and Chatham-Kent, but was ended as of 9:42pm.
