The Detroit Lions have signed free agent Wide Receiver Danny Amendola.
The 33-year-old Texas native is entering his 11th season in the NFL after spending the 2018 campaign with the Miami Dolphins, where he appeared in 15 games and totaled 59 receptions for 575 yards and one touchdown.
Prior to Miami, Amendola spent five seasons with the New England Patriots with current Lions Head Coach Matt Patricia and General Manager Bob Quinn.
A former undrafted rookie free agent with the Cowboys in 2008, Amendola has appeared in 126 career regular season games, including 61 starts and 13 career postseason games, including three Super Bowl appearances.
Later in the day, it was announced from multiple sources that the Lions are also making deals with tight end Jesse James, defensive end Trey Flowers and cornerback Justin Coleman.
In addition to player moves, the Lions have announced the 2019 Coaching Staff and it includes five new hires.
