Damage is pegged at a minimum of $500,000 after a large industrial fire in Kingsville.
Crews remain on scene at Global Pack Packaging Solutions on Rd 3. East, six hours after the initial fire call at 6:20am Monday.
Kingsville Fire Chief Chuck Parson says two stations from Kingsville and one station from Leamington continue to battle the fire.
"It is a very stubborn fire because of the contents, the size of the building and a very difficult fire to get under control," he says.
The rear part of the building has collapsed.
Chief Parsons has called in the Ontario Fire Marshall to investigate the cause.
"We have got plastics inside and cardboard from the packing supplies and so it was in the plastics area," he says.
No injuries reported.
The fire has closed Rd. 3 E from Spinks Dr. to County Rd. 31.
