The cause is under investigation
Damage is set at $150,000 after a house fire in Amherstburg.
Crews were called to a home at 77 Gore St. around 6:30am Saturday to find heavy smoke coming from the second floor.
Officials report the fire started at the rear of a main floor room and caused heavy damage to the second floor of the house and the attic.
A person living there made it out safely after being woken up by a smoke alarm.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
