Search for suspect had schools locked down for over an hour
Windsor police have located a man suspected of carrying a weapon in the vicinity of several east end schools.
Schools in the area of Tecumseh Road East and Rivard Boulevard were placed in "Hold and Secure" late this morning.
George Vanier, St. Therese and Coronation Elementary were affected.
There had been a report of a man on a bicycle carrying a weapon.
Officers have now located the man and have determined there was no weapon.
As a result the threat to area schools is now over and the "Hold and Secure" has been lifted.
