Police closed a portion of the highway due to several buckled sections in the roadway Sunday
Highway 3 has re-opened after several sections buckled due to heat.
A caller to the AM800 News Centre says the road has been patched and marked with pylons and traffic is moving through the area.
The OPP was forced to close a portion of Highway 3 between Malden Rd and Ellis Side Rd in Tecumseh and Lakeshore on Sunday.
Officers at the scene said the extreme heat contributed to the road damage.
